2021 Letter from Abp Dr. Sterling Lands II

Dearly Beloved,

I greet you in the Precious Name of Jesus Christ, who died, was buried, and did get up from the grave for our Salvation. Jesus is alive forevermore!

We are blessed and privileged to celebrate our 37th year of ministry in Austin, Texas. God continues to bless us as a family. We are believing God in the wonderful new thing He is doing in the GCBC family. We are thankful for God’s undying love. There is no doubt that we are a chosen generation, called forth to show His excellence.

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, we see accelerated moral decay and spiritual decadence. We must choose to be submitted to the Will, Way, and Word of God. When you reject God’s Will you reject God. We are accountable to God and to each other for our choices and priorities.

The Word of God is our ultimate standard for everything. We are developing Christ-centered family values as we pursue godliness. We refuse to let the tyranny of the urgent replace the priority of the important.

We are involved with each other and we share our challenges and victories.

We need each active member to choose to be all the way in the ministry. We bring glory to God and honor to each other when we work together.

We are a Christ-Centered Family-Focused Ministry committed to the great commission (Matt. 28:19-20) and the great commandment (Matthew 22:35–40; Mark 12:28–34; Luke 10:27).

Love, ++Dr. Sterling Lands I
