Words from our Pastor

I greet you in the Precious Name of Jesus Christ, who died, was buried and did get up from the grave for our Salvation. Jesus is alive forevermore! We are blessed and privileged to celebrate our 36th year of ministry in Austin, Texas. God continues to bless us as a family. We are believing God in the wonderful new thing He is doing in the GCBC family. We are thankful for God’s undying love. There is no doubt that we are a chosen generation, called forth to show His excellence.

We live at a time and in a place of accelerated moral decay and spiritual decadence. God has called each one of us to choose to be submitted to His Will, Way, and Word. A choice to not submit all the way is a default choice to reject the call of God. We are accountable to God and to each other for our choices and priorities. We are invested in and fueled

We are a Christ-Centered Family-Focused Ministry committed to the great commission (Matt. 28:19-20; Mark 16:14–18; Luke 24:44–49; Acts 1:4–8; John 20:19–23) and the great commandment (Matt. 22:35–40; Mark 12:28–34; Luke 10:27).

About The Church

Mission Statement

The Greater Calvary Bible Church is founded on the basic biblical principles of Salvation, Education, and Liberation. We are a Christcentered Family focused full gospel, abundant life Church family. We believe that people must be saved. Saved people must be taught the truth of God's Word and made free through the application of that truth.

At the Greater Calvary Bible Church, we view the family as a Kingdom priority. The book of Romans refers to followers of Christ as members of a body. We understand this as a family of families in which we can encourage one another and hold each other accountable. We emphasize doctrine and discipleship. We focus attitudes and actions through the lense of salvation, education, liberation, dedication and exaltation.

Members are encouraged to work towards practicing godliness as disciples of Christ. Our expectations are high and they involve worship, growing, serving, giving, praying, seeking unity, and being sacrificial as a reflection of our commitment to godliness.
